AmServ is a FServe for AmIRC, written in AREXX. Basically this program is used for putting your files available in the irc channels. AmServ is freeware. I tried to make it work like the FServe for pc's mIRC. What is FServe? FServe means fileserver for irc. The shortname is common used for pc-users. For more info, visit the homepage. What is it used for? FServes are used for exchaning files (or trading with ratio and credits). On IRC you find channels where people exchange pictures and music. What do i need to get AmServ running? - AmIRC 2.x or higher - recommended but not needed to have: ssearch in your c: dir (ssearch.lha on aminet) C:SSearch is faster than commodores c:search. - ARexx (Probably allready installed) - C:Sort (Probably allready installed) Features: - Credit-, ratio- and user- system. - Auto advertising of the fileserv in the active channels. - Fully configurable. - Only one script - Hold system.
