mSQL-Datenbank-Administrations Programm

Wer sich auf dem Amiga einmal mit SQL-Datenbanksystemen
auseinandersetzt, wird schnell feststellen, dass für den
reinen Offline-Betrieb eigentlich nur mSQL in frage kommt.

mSQL ist mit Abstand das kompakteste und resourcenschonendste
SQL-DBMS auf dem Amiga. Ein verdeutlichendes Beispiel:

Der mSQL-Daemon benötigt nicht einmal 10% der Resourcen
des MySQL-Daemons und kann via mUSD (UnixSocks-Daemon)
auch noch 4 mal schneller auf Client-Anfragen reagieren.

Der größte Nachteil aller SQL-Systeme auf dem Amiga, ist
dass Fehlen jeglicher GUI-Software zur Administration und
Pflege der Datenbanken.

Deshalb habe ich ein Programm geschrieben, dass die Bedienung
folgender Executables des "mSQL:bin" Verzeichnisses in sich
vereint:

msql, msql2d, msqladmin, msqldump, msqlexport, msqlimport,
relshow und mUSD.



GUI driven mSQL-Database Administration Tool
============================================

If you have made some experience with SQL-Databasesystems
on Amiga, you probably noticed that mSQL is the best
choice on your system, if you don't need remote access.

mSQL is very compact and needs least resources from all
SQL-DataBase Managment Systems on Amiga. An Example:

The mSQL-Daemon needs less than 10% of the resources
from the MySQL-Daemon and any access via mUSD
(UnixSocks-Daemon) is 4 times faster.

The main disadvantage on Amiga SQL-Systems is, ist the
lack of any GUI driven software to administrate and
manipulate databases.

That is why I wrote a program, that simplifies the handle
of the following executables at "mSQL:bin" directory:

msql, msql2d, msqladmin, msqldump, msqlexport, msqlimport,
relshow and mUSD.
