Introduction and history.

A day a friend asked me how to connect a keyboard to his new CDTV.
I replied that there were no problem 'cause on Aminet there should be a 
scheme to connect a A2000 or A3000's keyboard (that are easier to find)
to the CDTV.
But on Aminet I only found a scheme that I wasn't able to decode and the 
help message I sent via Internet weren't succesful, but when everything
seemed lost arrived the good news, a friend lent me a CDTV keyboard.
So I were able to check out the pins of the connector.

Materials and construction.

You'll need the usual instruments and a piece of cable with 4 wire plus a 
sock, a female DIN connector with 5 pole and a male MiniDIN connector 
with 5 pole.
I don't think that you'll need an explanation about how to do the hack, so 
check the scheme and remember to connect the metallic shield of the two
connectors.

The scheme is obviously freeware but if you can send me E-Mail with 
suggestions, thanks  and/or requests for ulterior informations.

Introduzione e storia.

Un giorno un conoscente mi chiede come può collegare una tastiera al suo CDTV
che ha appena comperato d'occasione.
Io gli rispondo che non c'è problema poichè su Aminet troverò certamente lo
schema per adattare una tastiera per A2000 o A3000 al CDTV visto che questa è 
più facilmente rintracciabile.
Purtroppo su Aminet ho trovato uno schema a mio parere indecifrabile e i 
miei aiuti richiesti via Internet non hanno avuto successo, però quando tutto 
sembrava perso è avvenuta la svolta decisiva, un amico mi ha prestato
una tastiera per CDTV che mi è stata necessaria per individuare la piedinatura 
del connettore.

Materiale e costruzione.

Oltre ai consueti attrezzi sono necessari un pezzo di cavo a 4 fili più calza, 
un connettore DIN a 5 poli femmina ed un connettore MiniDIN 5 poli maschio.
Non penso siano necessarie molte parole per descrivere questo hack quindi 
passo direttamente allo schema ricordando di collegare la calza alle 
schermature metalliche dei due connettori.
