This library is for DCTV video system of Digital Creations, Inc.

This file contains documentation of some device dependent features
of the library functions.

Before using dctv_r3d.library, copy the library and also dctv.library to your 
libs: directory. Both libraries are included in this drawer.

Open screen
-----------
Sets image resolution to 640*512 (640*400 in NTSC) pixels.

Set modes -function
-------------------
There are currently four options available:
- INTERLACE switches interlaced display on, doubling the resolution to
  400/512 lines.
- 4 PLANES selects four bitplane DCTV display depth instead of three planes. 
  Three bitplanes may be more suitable for animation purposes, whereas
  four planes can be used with still images.
- OVERSCAN enlarges the DCTV display to maximal dimensions, 736 pixels 
  horizontally and 292/584  (236/472 in NTSC) pixels vertically.
- STORE 24B allocates RAM for full screen RGB storage, so that the image
  is stored both in DCTV and in pixel accurate 24 bit format. This requires
  maximally about 1.3 megabytes more memory, but enables saving of 24 bit 
  TARGA and IFF ILBM images. 


Image saving
------------
If either TARGA or IFF 24 gadget is selected, then the DCTV image is saved 
using true 24 bit format, provided that the STORE 24B option is activated.
If neither gadget is selected, the image is saved as DCTV format IFF ILBM
(3 or 4 bitplanes). This holds also when rendering animations with automatic
frame saving (SINGLE-gadget deactivated).
