This is a sequence of Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto in G
Major, the jazz-influenced companion piece to the Concerto (in D)
for the left hand (which I've also sequenced and uploaded widely).

The main sound module I've used for this sequence is the
Proteus 2. However, I've had to use the One Stop Music Shop (sort
of a GM Proteus on a 16-bit audio card) for the Wood Blocks since
the Proteus 2 doesn't have this sound. Also, I used Hand Clap for
the Whip (yes, for you fetishists, there's a WHIP in the score,
although you only hear it once, the very first "note"!), since
I didn't find such an, ah, Instrument in any of my synths.

I also used the Pizzicato program from OSMS for the Pizzicato
Violins since at times some violins are playing arco (bowed) while
the others are playing pizzicato. I've done this due to track
limitations.

Other things I've done to save tracks are to have the other
string programs share tracks, have the mute trumpet, (non-muted)
trumpet, and string harmonics share a track, and have the various
clarinets share a track (the Eb Clarinet gets its own track, but
I've combined the A and Bb Clarinets into a single track).

For the piano part I use a Korg P3 on its own MIDI output.
Note that at one point I've created a second piano track to take
care of notes that are sounded while they are still sounding
from a previously-played note at that pitch.

You should be able to combine the orchestral tracks into 15
tracks, reserving the remaining track for the piano. Of course,
you'll need 2 synths (or one with 64-note polyphony), but you
should be able to get away without a multiport MIDI interface.

Lastly, I've included the program map I use on my Proteus 2,
as well as the XR banks from which some of my programs are drawn.
I don't use most of the programs in this bank; many of them are
there until I replace them with something better.

P.S. You'll notice that there are many solo instruments (Ravel uses
a small orchestra for this score) in this movement.
