I thought I'd include some sketches to show what goes on behind the
scenes. I often found my doodles better than the finished art I worked
them up into. When you're relaxed your imagination comes out better than
if you allow yourself to be hampered by the thoughts of deadlines. To
remedy this I bridged the divide between sketch and finished design by
developing a style whereby the two were merged together. So what was a
sketch was also a finished piece, albeit less tidy and colourful. This
led to a loose cartoon style which was a lot more fun to work with.
