As lots of ppl like to upload pics of their WB, so I decided to add mine to
this nice collection :)
So... what's all that stuff that's on my WB? Read, and you'll see :)
* Hardware:
A1200
Blizzard 1230/IV + 68882 + 16MB FAST RAM
1.28GB Quantum + 125MB Maxtor HD
Acer 4x CD ROM
GVC 33600 fax modem
14" Goldstar monitor
Epson LQ100 printer
You prolly want also to know which software I used too.. so here it goes:
BlizzKick - THE program for Blizzard users, has many nice features :)
BootControl - Yup.. you can promote bootmenu so it's visible on SVGA monitors :)
PicBoot - Nice picture viewer during booting :)
FastIPrefs - For less chip mem usage, and to remove thus annoying menu
strip at top of WB
DynamiCache - Disk caching program
TolleUhr - THE WB clock :)
NewIcons - Those kewl icons you drool over :)
Executive - Can anyone live without this?!?!
AmigaEYE - Pair of eyes following yr mouse pointer
TinyMeter - The thingie in BL corner :)
MagicMenu - Kewl proggy for enhancing functionality&look of yr menus :)
CRSnap - Program for making screen snapshots.. so far it worked for me for
any screen resolution/depth, etc...
IconAppearer - Shows icons within drawer as you copy them, or extract them with
lha, and similar.. neat!
Well, that's about all progs I run at bootup. It all eats up some 2.5MB of RAM
(actually 3MB if you add MapROM :)))))
I run WB in DblPAL 704x564 with 64 cols. I boosted it up as much as possible, so
it has now vertical frequency of 52Hz (which gives MUCH less flicker on monitor
than 50Hz - seems stoopid, but it's really true!).
Oh, also about BG pic... I took few pics from Aminet CD's, and mixed them up
with photogenics. The background is in 32 cols. I'd like to thank those folks
that made the originals, and uploaded them at Aminet :)
And now about snapshots:
Snap1 - The look of my everyday 'empty' WB
Snap2 - IBrowse running in WB - yes I'm one of those freaks that like to run
everything in WB :)
Snap3 - Some icons I use.. you can take a peek at WBstartup drawer too :)
Snap4 - Who said you can't run Netscape on Amiga? As you can see - you can!
(With 'little' help of Fusion though - the best MAC emulator :)
Snap5 - Hmm.. how did this end up here? Well, anyway, it's Warcraft under
Fusion, and it's playable even on 030/50 with only AGA!!
Btw, I have Linux also installed. It's nice thingie.. currently it eats up
150MB of my HD space. Not much more that MAC partition (125MB).
Well, that's about it.
If ya have any suggestions what I could add, mail me. I like reading mail,
especially if it isn't junk-mail :)
