Fata morgana.

"Suddenly, from behind a sandhill, three camels appear. Three veiled
women are riding on their backs, each of them carrying a sword.
The sun burns on their skin, various drops of sweat drip on their
trousers...
Seemingly for no reason at all, the first one starts to run, the
others follow. A large sandcloud covers the tracks they leave behind...
Out of nowhere, an oasis of green appears, in the middle of the desert.
As they step through the palmtree wood they enter an incredibly
beautifull surrounding. A lake with cold fresh water, flowers, grass,
birds... Paradise.
The women take off their clothes and bathe in the cool water. As
mysteriously as the oasis appeared, it dissappears and the women
remain naked in the burning sand. Quickly they gather their clothes,
mount their camels and ride off into the desert...

That's all I remember because you just snapped me out of it and I 
realised I was still in history-class..."
